Could tomato sauce be substituted for the tomato soup?
Decent dump-and-go soup. Great for busy nights.
I’ve been making this soup for years. It is delicious and there is no reason to change the recipe. I do add the cooked tortellini in the bowl before adding the soup. Everyone I’ve served it to have requested the recipe.
It is good and easy! I followed the instructions exactly.
Good and sooooo easy. My husband really liked. I only used 1/2 package of tortellini and it was plenty. Might add some fresh basil next time.
I have made it exactly as the recipe and enjoyed it. But now I do cook up italian sausage and burger with onion and garlic that I add to the recipe to make it more hearty and use a full bag of frozen tortellini. My family loves the recipe!
Love this soup! I started by cooking chopped onions and garlic in olive oil. I didn’t have any sun dried tomatoes, I put in an extra can of tomato soup and ? cup of pasta sauce. I used orzo instead of tortellini to save on the cheesy calories.
This was pretty good, I have made it twice now and the second time I added fresh onion and garlic, a package of baby spinach and a pint of home canned tomatoes to the original recipe.Smells great cooking and is now in the cookbook. Thanks for sharing!
