Zesty Red Potatoes

I used white waxy potatoes because that is what I had. Instead of using fresh onions, I used 2 teaspoons of onion powder. I also used garlic salt instead of regular salt. The baking instructions were spot on, and the resulting dish is tasty.
I had been wanting to try these for some time but had not. Now I am sorry I waited so long. Delicious with such simple ingredients.
Very simple and tasty! The edges of the potatoes got crispy and the onion just melted into the potatoes. Great with barbecue!

I think this is a good bacis recipe that can be customized to individual taste. I will make again, but will try adding some bell peppers or maybe crumbled bacon and cheese for additional flavor. Good starting point though for a simple casserole.
We just didn't care for these potatoes at all. The red pepper flavor was great, but they were so greasy with all that butter. We did like them fried up as homefries for breakfast the next morning.
